Major Update in Eternal DOTA League!
We’re excited to announce a huge update! Experience more thrilling gameplay and fiercer competition than ever. Stay tuned for changes that will redefine your journey!
Changes in Divisions
We’re excited to introduce an updated league system, now featuring two new divisions. This structural change will make matches in EDL even more exciting, fair, and dynamic, while also speeding up matchmaking!

First Division – Champions’ Arena
This is where the best of the best compete. Only the strongest players, who have proven themselves through intense competition, earn the right to play in this division. Here, champions are crowned, earning prestigious rewards and solidifying their status as true Dota 2 masters. Some players from the previous Division 2 can now advance to Division 1.

Here, champions are crowned, earning prestigious rewards and solidifying their status as true Dota 2 masters. Some players from the previous Division 2 can now advance to Division 1.
Players in this division are divided into:
- S-tier: Regularly compete in Tier 1 tournaments, personal earnings over $50,000, rank above 400.
- A-tier: Compete in Tier 1 tournaments, personal earnings over $10,000, rank above 500.
- B-tier: Compete in Tier 3+ tournaments, personal earnings over $1,000, rank above 400, recommended by S or A-tier players.
- C-tier: Rank above 700.
S-tier players have two matchmaking options:
- Pro: Matches are formed exclusively with S-tier and A-tier players (6-10 S-tier players per lobby, the rest A-tier).
- Semi-pro: Matches include S, A, B, and C-tier players, with balanced team ratings.
A, B, and C-tier players have one matchmaking option:
- Semi-pro: They are placed in lobbies with S-tier players and the best players of their own tier.
At the end of the season, top players can defend their positions, while underperformers risk relegation to a lower division, making room for new contenders. The number of B and C-tier players is limited.
Prize Pool Distribution Changes
S-tier and A-tier players:
S-tier and A-tier players:
- 1st place Leaderboard: $3,000
- 2nd place Leaderboard: $2,000
- 3rd place Leaderboard: $1,200
- 3x MVP of the Season: $500 each
A total of 6 players from S-tier and A-tier can share a prize pool of $7,700. MVP criteria will be detailed in a future update.
B-tier and C-tier players:
Every 3 days, the top 5 B-tier and C-tier players receive $150.
Rewards are now distributed more dynamically and fairly!
"Battle for Bread" – A New Challenge for Top Players B-tier and C-tier players

How does it work?
- Every 3 in-game days, a Leaderboard is formed for B and C-tier players. On the 4th day, the top 10 players from this Leaderboard compete in two teams in Immortal Draft mode (captained by the 1st and 2nd place players). The winning team in the "Battle for Bread" receives $150.
What if there are more than 10 players with the same rating on the Leaderboard?
- These players compete in 1v1 lobbies for a spot in the "Battle for Bread" match.
Changes in Discord

How it was before:
- Join a voice channel in Discord.
- After finding a match, move to a newly created team voice channel.
- Join the created player lobby.
- Play.
How it is now:
- Click the "Find Match" button in the Discord channel (not a voice channel).
- When a match is found, an invitation to the created lobby is sent.
- Play.

Now, when a match is found, a separate voice channel is created for your team. You can choose to join it or not—it’s your choice and your comfort.
Second Division – Battle for Elite
This division is a fierce battleground. Here, players fight to break into the first division and prove they deserve a place among the best. However, the path upward is challenging—every match can be decisive, as the stakes are high.
Players who deliver outstanding results will earn a chance for promotion, while those who fail to maintain their level risk losing their spot. Skill and mental resilience are key here.
Players in this division range from rank 800 to 1500. At the end of the season, the top 10 players from the Second Division Leaderboard earn a chance to advance to the First Division, despite limited spots.

Dodge List Added
If you wish to avoid being matched with a specific player, contact Keeper EDL for instructions on how to do so.
Scouting Additions for Managers
We are introducing a scouting system that will allow teams and managers to analyze players and matches more effectively. Now available:
- Spectator Access: Managers and scouts can observe matches to evaluate players, analyze strategies, and discover new talents.
- EDL Match Analytics: Each manager will have access to a personal analytical tool to track player match statistics. Special thanks to Spectral Leamare for this!
- Anti-Throw Software: Thanks to Spectral Leamare, we now use specialized software to detect suspicious activities and unfair play. Throws and match-fixing will no longer have a place in EDL, making talent discovery more transparent and fair.
